Working with Matt Kierstead of Milestone Heritage Consulting, I designed a set of three interpretive panels, with one large photo panel for the inside of the restored Hopewell Junction railroad station, which is now the Hopewell Depot Museum. Some of the maps and charts have been repurposed for additional interpretive panels along the now-complete Maybrook Trailway, part of New York’s 750 mile long Empire State Trail.
Work entailed designing a suitable color palette, laying out copy and photographs, photo restoration work, and creation of several historical maps and charts, in addition to ensuring work met interpretive media guidelines for accessibility.
